The Fischer Twin Skin CR Mounted is a wax-free classic cross-country ski package designed for beginner to intermediate skiers, featuring pre-mounted Turnamic® bindings that are compatible with Turnamic, NNN, and Prolink boot systems.

• Binding System: The skis come with pre-mounted Fischer Control Step-In Turnamic® bindings on an Integrated Fixation Plate (IFP). This system allows for tool-free adjustment of the binding position to fine-tune grip and glide for different snow conditions or preferences.
• Grip Technology: The "Twin Skin" system uses two offset, variable-depth skin strips made from a 70% mohair and 30% synthetic fiber mix (or sometimes 100% mohair in higher-end models). This provides reliable grip and a smooth glide, especially in hard or icy snow conditions, without the need for kick wax.
• Core Construction: They use an Air Channel Basalite wood core with air channels and volcanic basalt fibers to minimize weight and provide consistent flex.
• Sidecut: The sidecut is typically around 52/48/50mm for the Sport model, which offers stability and control, making them forgiving and easy to handle.
• Ability Level: They are well-regarded as a great option for new or returning cross-country skiers, praised for their forgiving kick and efficient forward design. Reviewers note that while the grip is effective, proper technique still matters, which can help new skiers improve their form.
