What Types of Mountain Bikes Are Available at MySport?
At MySport, we offer some of the best mountain bike brands, including Wilier, Scott, Cube, Raymon and others. Our range includes mountain bikes in different sizes and categories for men, women, and young riders. We offer a wide selection across different price levels — from entry-level bikes around €400 to top-level race models up to €14,000.
Different types of mountain bikes are available:
- 29” mountain bikes – currently the most popular wheel size standard for MTB riding.
- 27.5” and 26” mountain bikes – ideal for shorter riders, juniors, and smaller women riders.
- Aluminium and carbon frame models – aluminium bikes are more affordable and great for everyday riding, while carbon models are lighter and better suited for performance-focused riding.
- Hardtail mountain bikes – equipped with a front suspension fork only. Still the most popular choice for everyday riding and occasional MTB marathon events.
- Full suspension mountain bikes – equipped with front and rear suspension for serious training and racing on more technical MTB trails. They provide more comfort, control, and stability on rough terrain, roots, descents, and longer technical rides.
- Shimano and SRAM equipped models – available across different riding styles and budgets.
MTB bikes are suitable both for riders looking for active outdoor recreation and for cyclists training regularly or participating in races.
We also offer a wide range of smaller frame sizes suitable for young riders moving up from kids’ bikes to their first adult mountain bike.
Our assortment includes popular Scott and Cube mountain bike models, as well as high-end racing bikes from Wilier.

How Does MySport Recommend Choosing the Right Mountain Bike?
MySport expert recommendations for the 2026 season
MySport expert recommendations for the 2026 season
When choosing a new mountain bike, we recommend considering the following: what type of terrain you ride most often, how frequently you ride, whether you plan to participate in races, how lightweight you want the bike to be, and your available budget. But most importantly — choose a bike that makes you want to ride as often as possible.
When choosing a new mountain bike, we recommend considering the following: what type of terrain you ride most often, how frequently you ride, whether you plan to participate in races, how lightweight you want the bike to be, and your available budget. But most importantly — choose a bike that makes you want to ride as often as possible.
- Terrain and riding style. If you mainly ride on forest roads, gravel roads, and easier trails, we recommend a hardtail mountain bike with front suspension only.
If you mostly ride technical trails, then a full suspension mountain bike with front and rear suspension will be the better choice. - Weight. This one is fairly simple — bike weight is directly related to price. When comparing similar MTB bikes, the more expensive model is usually lighter. From our experience, the lighter the bike, the more enjoyable the ride.
- Will you race? If you need a versatile bike for everyday riding, a standard mountain bike is a great choice, and you can choose the price range that fits your budget.
If you plan to race, we recommend higher-end aluminium models or carbon bikes. A good carbon full suspension MTB opens up a completely different riding experience and performance level. - Wheel size. Today, almost all mountain bikes come with 29” wheels. 27.5” wheels are mostly found on some entry-level models with smaller frame sizes. Unless the bike is intended for a younger rider, we recommend choosing a 29” mountain bike.
- Budget. Mountain bikes are available from around €400 up to €14,000. All mountain bikes we offer are high-quality and suitable for riding on forest roads and trails. If you ride occasionally for fun, almost any MTB will work well. However, the more you invest, the more enjoyable the riding experience becomes. For occasional everyday riding — choose according to your budget; For MTB marathons — we recommend at least €1000+; For performance-focused riding — likely €3000+; For top-level racing and chasing victories — €5000+; If you want the very best and can afford it, choose the highest-level bike possible and enjoy every ride. In short — invest as much as you comfortably can and choose a bike that makes you excited to ride more often.
