City bikes for everyday and weekend rides

City bikes for women and men. We offer high-quality city bikes from reputable brands. These bikes are comfortable and suitable for daily urban use, equipped with mudguards, a rear rack, a kickstand, a chain guard, lights, and other useful accessories.

A city bike is more than just transport. It’s the ride to your morning coffee, the scenic route along the river, the Sunday trip to the market, and a moment for yourself between tasks. We curate bikes that feel comfortable from the very first pedal stroke: a relaxed, natural riding position, a softer saddle, ergonomic grips, mudguards, a chain guard, a rear rack, and the option to add a basket or panniers. Everything to make everyday city riding pleasant—without athletic effort.

Riding a city bike is easy and comfortable

Our store offers a wide range of city bikes. We carry models from Scott, Creon, Cube, Storm and more. You’ll find city bikes for both women and men, with traditional external derailleurs or internal hub gears—bikes made for relaxed Sunday cruising as well as models designed for more active commuting to and from work. Most city bikes we sell come fully equipped, including mudguards, a rear rack, a kickstand, lights, a hand pump and a bell.

Women’s city bikes feature women-specific frames and tailored components: a wider saddle, more comfortable grips and an adjustable stem.

Cycling in the city is a great way to hit your daily activity goal. It’s good for your health, reduces stress, keeps you on time, saves money, and is an eco-friendly way to get around.

City bike types (by riding style)

  • Classic/comfort — elegant step-through frame, very upright position; ideal for the city and unhurried rides.
  • Agile/sporty — a little sportier (yet still comfortable): rolls more easily over longer distances; great for everyday commuting.
  • Practical — cargo-oriented: factory front/rear racks, option to fit a child seat, mudguards included.

Tips for choosing a city bike

  • Distances & surfaces. Daily ride: city center ↔ home? Choose a comfort-frame model with wider tires (more stable, plusher). Longer stretches? Go sportier with faster-rolling tires.

Gearing

  • Single-speed. The simplest city bikes with one gear—budget-friendly and fine if your routes are short and unhurried.
  • 3–8-speed internal hub. Very common on city bikes: easy to use, little special maintenance, long service life. If you mainly ride flat sections, a 3-speed hub is usually plenty for comfortable daily city riding and beyond.
  • 6–9 (or more) speeds with cassette + rear derailleur. Offers a wider range of gears to match load to terrain. Better if your daily routes include tougher sections with climbs, etc.

Accessories

  • Equipment packages vary widely. Bikes may come with front/rear lights, mudguards, racks, baskets and a bell, etc. When buying, consider what you actually need—or which extras to add if the manufacturer hasn’t included your desired accessories.
  • Looking for a fully equipped bike? We recommend choosing a factory-assembled, fully fitted model. It’s often the best solution not only cost-wise, but also technically and visually.

Comfort

  • Softer saddle
  • Vibration-damping tires (e.g., 40–47 mm)
  • Wide grips and a straight handlebar = relaxed shoulders

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Step-through or classic frame?
A step-through lets you mount comfortably in any clothing; a classic (diamond) frame will feel a bit stiffer for longer rides.
Is an internal gear hub better for the city?
Yes—clean, low-maintenance, and it shifts even when stopped at a light. If your routes are hilly, choose more steps (e.g., 3, 7 or 8).
What tire width is comfortable?
Often 40–47 mm for city use: a softer ride on cobbles and curbs, with stability in wet conditions.
Can I fit a child seat?
Yes, most city bikes allow it. We’ll help you choose a compatible model and install it correctly.
Care and security?
Clean the chain and check tire pressure monthly. In the city, use a U-lock plus an additional chain, and lock the frame and a wheel to a fixed object.
