The Wilier Urta Max SLR is a high-performance cross-country machine designed specifically for the rigors of modern World Cup racing and demanding marathon trails. At its core, the frame is constructed from HUS-MOD high-module carbon fiber, ensuring maximum stiffness and a remarkably low weight of approximately 10.7 kg for the full build. To maintain a clean aesthetic and structural integrity, Wilier integrated the cables directly through the headset, a design choice borrowed from road racing that increases front-end stiffness by eliminating traditional cable entry holes in the carbon.

The standout feature of this bike is its advanced 120mm suspension system. It utilizes a new single-axle damping design with a specifically tuned leverage ratio that transitions through three distinct phases: a stiff regressive phase for pedaling efficiency, a reactive mid-stroke for trail sensitivity, and a progressive finish to prevent harsh bottoming out. On the top-tier builds, this is enhanced by the RockShox Flight Attendant system, an intelligent, wireless setup that uses "Adaptive Ride Dynamics" to automatically adjust your suspension settings in real-time based on your pedaling output and the terrain.

The geometry of the Urta Max SLR is built for an aggressive, "gathered" racing position. By minimizing the stack height and extending the reach, Wilier ensures the rider stays low and centered for better power transfer. This is complemented by the Urta Max Bar, a monocoque carbon handlebar with a steep -27° stem angle that facilitates aggressive climbing and high-speed handling.
