The Continental Trinotal 29 x 2.40 is an advanced folding mountain bike tire developed as the technical successor to the popular Cross-King model. Designed to conquer hardpack and mixed surfaces in both dry and wet conditions, it is optimized for modern cross-country, down-country, trail, and marathon use. The tire features the speed-focused Rapid rubber compound, engineered for fast acceleration and efficiency on flat trails and climbs. For robust trail durability, it is constructed around a robust 330 TPI three-ply Trail casing that features an integrated puncture protection layer under the tread and specialized puncture protection inserts inside the sidewalls. This Tubeless Ready tire handles lower operating pressures for enhanced stability, is rated for E-bikes up to 25 km/h, and operates up to a maximum air pressure of 3.5 bar on inner rim widths from 21 mm to 35 mm.
